West Bromwich Albion went consecutive games without scoring after being held to a 0-0 draw against Blackpool in midweek and a number of players were below par at Bloomfield Road.
Darnell Furlong and Cedric Kipre were criticised by supporters for their poor performances, but they weren’t the only ones. Grady Diangana wasn’t at his best either and fans on social media let him know.
The 23-year-old failed to register a shot on target, was wasteful in possession and failed to make a successful dribble. Diangana was given a player rating of 5/10 by Birmingham Live and was hooked in the second half by Valerien Ismael.
Against Blackpool, Diangana played for 60 minutes, had 33 touches, won one aerial duel, completed 53.3% of his 15 passes, created one chance, had two shots without hitting the target, whipped in three crosses with one finding a teammate, failed to make a tackle, had one interception, gave away one foul and failed to make a successful dribble.
The England U21 international has made 17 Championship appearances this season, scoring one goal with one assist. He’s had an awful time at West Brom since turning his loan move permanent in the summer of 2020, scoring and creating only three goals in 38 games, so his future at the Hawthorns may be uncertain.
