West Bromwich Albion drew 0-0 with Nottingham Forest on Friday and Grady Diangana’s performance once again left a lot to be desired. The 23-year-old didn’t provide much of a threat at the Hawthorns and was hooked in the second half as a result.
Diangana was given a player rating of 4/10 by Birmingham Live and was blasted by supporters on social media. The former West Ham United wide-man wasn’t creative in possession and didn’t carry the ball well, so it’s not surprising he’s on the end of negativity online.
Against Forest, Diangana played for 59 minutes, had 33 touches, completed 69.6% of his 23 passes, had one shot, failed to create a chance, made one tackle, failed to whip in a cross, failed to make an interception and failed to make a successful dribble.
The 23-year-old has made 17 Championship appearances this season, scoring one goal with one assist. He’s amassed only 881 minutes from a possible 1800, so it’s clear Diangana doesn’t have the trust of his manager. He’s frequently hooked due to lacklustre performances and might be rested soon enough.
