West Bromwich Albion fell to fifth in the Championship table after losing 1-0 to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday afternoon and Jayson Molumby was one of many players criticised for his performance.

The 22-year-old gave away fouls and misplaced a lot of passes at Loftus Road, so he was given a player rating of 4/10 by Birmingham Live for the below-par contribution. Fans on social media weren’t happy either and let Molumby know.

Against QPR, Molumby played for 90 minutes, had 70 touches, won three aerial duels, picked up a booking, completed 68.6% of his 51 passes, created one chance, had one shot which didn’t hit the target, only found a teammate with two of his six long-range passes, gave away two fouls, made two headed clearances, had one interception, won three freekicks and made three tackles.

The 22-year-old has made 15 Championship appearances this season since joining on a season-long loan from Brighton & Hove Albion. West Brom have a buying option for Molumby, but it’s unlikely they’ll trigger it as things stand.
