West Bromwich Albion ended a four-game winless run in the Championship with a 3-0 victory over Peterborough United and Callum Robinson came away with praise for his impressive contribution from the bench.
The 26-year-old doesn’t always command a starting place under Valerien Ismael, but he swung the game in West Brom’s favour after being introduced late into the second half, earning a player rating of 7/10 from Birmingham Live.
Fans on social media lauded Robinson and were delighted to see him have a hand in more goals, even if he’s not the one scoring of late. They believe he suits playing as a makeshift No.10 and should be considered for the permanent role by Ismael.
Against Peterborough, Robinson played for 16 minutes, had 17 touches, grabbed two assists, completed 70% of his 10 passes, had two shots, whipped in two crosses, won one freekick and had one successful dribble.
He’s made 26 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring six goals with eight assists. Robinson has only netted twice in the Championship since August, but he’s proving useful at setting up goals for his teammates.
