West Bromwich Albion enjoyed a 3-0 win over Peterborough United on Saturday afternoon to end their winless run in the Championship and Jake Livermore was one of many players to impress.

The 32-year-old has been heavily criticised this season but put in a committed performance against Posh to earn himself deserved plaudits from fans on social media.

No Albion player made more tackles or had more interceptions than Livermore, so it was no surprise the midfielder was given a player rating of 8/10 by Birmingham Live.

Against Peterborough, Livermore played for 90 minutes, had 55 touches, won one aerial duel, completed 75% of his 36 passes, created one chance, had two shots, whipped in one cross, found a teammate with 50% of his long-range balls, made three tackles, had one clearance, made four interceptions and gave away three fouls.

The 32-year-old has made 23 appearances in all competitions this season, notching one assist. He’s been a regular under Valerien Ismael and justified the continued selection on Saturday, but Livermore can’t rest on his laurels. West Brom host Preston North End on Wednesday evening and could make it two wins on the bounce.
