West Bromwich Albion finished the season 17th in the Championship for goals (52), so Steve Bruce is expected to bring in a couple of attackers this summer. The Baggies aren’t blessed with lucrative funds, however, so they’ll have to be creative in the transfer market.

West Brom’s modus operandi has been to source free transfers, pull off loan deals and bring in players with small valuations, so Scott Twine would be the ideal signing. The 22-year-old joined MK Dons from Swindon Town last summer and has gone on to make 49 appearances in all competitions, scoring 20 goals with 13 assists.

Twine has been outstanding in League One, helping to get MK Dons into the playoffs, so he could be playing Championship football next season even if he doesn’t leave. TEAMtalk say the Englishman does have a lot of interest from sides in the second tier, however, with Burnley, Norwich City, Middlesbrough and Stoke City cited.

But if West Brom want a prolific forward who won’t break the bank, Twine could be ideal. TEAMtalk believe his asking price will be around £3m, which is less than half what was paid for Daryl Dike. Time will tell if they pull it off.
