Read West Brom said that Kenneth Zohore has little chance of getting playing time after the arrival of Brandon Thomas-Asante, but he’s not the only one with an uncertain future. Callum Robinson could find opportunities limited too, as the new arrival can play anywhere across the front three.

Robinson was already struggling for playing time under Steve Bruce, so he won’t be too pleased seeing more competition in the squad. The 27-year-old made 4/7 Championship appearances this season, amassing 74/630 minutes on the pitch, so his place in the side looks precarious.

Robinson was West Brom’s second-highest scorer and top assist-maker last season, but he’s now out-of-favour and falling down the pecking order. Jed Wallace, Matt Phillips and Grady Diangana have been preferred to the Ireland international, but Thomas-Asante might have edged himself ahead of Robinson too.

Preston North End were linked with a move for the 27-year-old earlier this summer, but a deal failed to materialise so it looks like he’ll stay at the Hawthorns as backup. Robinson missed Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Wigan Athletic due to injury too, so he risks being even more out of favour if players impress in his stead.
