Kenneth Zohore surprisingly made the bench in West Bromwich Albion’s 1-1 draw with Wigan Athletic on Tuesday but wasn’t introduced by Steve Bruce. It remains to be seen if he’ll feature in the matchday squad again after the signing of Brandon Thomas-Asante.

West Brom confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that they’d agreed a three-year deal for the Salford City striker who’s coming off the back of nine goals from his last 17 league appearances, so Zohore may be pushed out of the first-team for the 23-year-old.

Thomas-Asante only has one day to train before Albion’s home clash with Burnley, so it remains to be seen if he’ll make his debut against the Clarets. What is probably certain is Bruce dropping Zohore now he has a third striker in the first-team – Thomas Asante, Daryl Dike and Karlan Grant.

Callum Robinson is able to play in the makeshift role too, but he’s not having the best campaign either. As for Zohore, the uncapped Danish centre-forward has scored five goals from 23 games in all competitions since joining in 2019, so it’s little wonder why he’s surplus to requirements.
