West Bromwich Albion welcome Burnley to the Hawthorns on Friday evening and Steve Bruce is likely to make changes after his side’s disappointing 1-1 draw with Wigan Athletic. One player at risk of being dropped is Okay Yokuslu.

The 28-year-old was underwhelming against the Latics and found himself substituted in the second half as a result. Jake Livermore replaced him and put in a better performance, so could the 32-year-old get the nod over the Turkish international?

Yokuslu has made seven appearances in all competitions this season, but he’s been poor in West Brom’s last two games. The 28-year-old is normally adept at turning over possession and keeping the ball, but he barely laid a finger on Wigan and was wasteful at times.

With just three days in between two West Brom fixtures, it might be right to rest Yokuslu and bring Jake Livermore back in, though Bruce could do with signing another midfielder for depth in case of injury. Letting Alex Mowatt leave without replacing him was a strange move as you need secondary options over a 46-game season.

Bruce only has Yokuslu, Livermore and Molumby while Taylor Gardner-Hickman provides cover.
